A 16th-century newly thatched building with a bar, small games room next to it, a lounge with a roaring fire in winter and a large separate restaurant. There are low ceilings and exposed beams giving it an appropriate “olde worlde” feel. Conveniently close to the Kennet and Avon canal the pub is dog friendly. There is an extensive menu with many ingredients from local producers. The accommodation consists of seven rooms. Bus service needs to be booked.
